November has been usually associated with Thanksgiving, atleast it has been so in the US of A. It is a great way to express one's gratitude to one's family,friends, and aquaintances. So, I thought this year maybe I should do something for thanksgiving. And no, am not referring to the turkey that's usually eaten on 'thanksgiving day'. I thought I will chalk out a list of people whom I think deserve a big thank you. So here it goes: 1. Firstly, thank you dad and mum for bringing me into this world. THANK YOU for changing my diapers, cleaning my leaky nose, buying me the best clothes (all perfectly matched from head to toe). Thank you Daddy for being my hero and rescuing me from getting scolded or beaten up by mum while studying. Thank you Momma for everything. What I am today is solely because of you. 2. This post is dedicated to my dear teacher...Oh and by the way he's not the usual school/college teacher...he is one of a kind. Truly, a man of patience I must say! (Handling a lousy student like me takes a lot of patience you see). 30-10-09 was my first day in school. Just as every new student is pretty nervous and jittery about their first day at school, here I was, going through the same emotions. Still wondering what kind of a school a 23 year old is attending? Oflate, I have been meeting and making a whole lot of new friends. Well its not on the internet nor is it through my other acquaintances, or family, or any such thing. I get to meet my new friends throughout the week. And everyday when I see them, we usually tend to greet each other with a warm smile, exchange a few words pleasantries(a rarity though!). Most of the time we try and make conversation without talking. Well thats the speciality of our friendship you see! We usually watch each others' actions or facial expressions. My 'new friends' and I come from completely different social backgrounds. Most often we don't speak the same language, we dress in very different ways, we definitely don't share common interests. But yes, there's that one thing that brings my new friends and I together. Well, we travel on the same bus, the same route, at the same timing :). I have been contemplating lately about whether or not I must begin blogging. Many a time I would decide I must try this and soon the enthusiasm would just fizzle out. But today, I thought, why not? When most of my peers are up to it and me being in a profession which involves a consistent amount of writing, I thought, what the heck? I will give it a shot. With this sorted out, the next conflict that arises is 'What should I write on?' I know that there is no dearth of topics. One could write about anything under the sun. And so, spending a lot of time or rather wasting a lot of time on deciding what to write, I finally settle to write on the title of my blog template-'FLOWER POWER'. So from where does this word 'FLOWER POWER' exactly originate? What are its roots?
