HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

November has been usually associated with Thanksgiving, atleast it has been so in the US of A. It is a great way to express one's gratitude to one's family, friends, and aquaintances. So, I thought this year maybe I should do something for thanksgiving. And no, am not referring to the turkey that's usually eaten on 'thanksgiving day'. I thought I will chalk out a list of people whom I think deserve a big thank you. So here it goes:

1. Firstly, thank you dad and mum for bringing me into this world. THANK YOU for changing my diapers, cleaning my leaky nose, buying me the best clothes (all perfectly matched from head to toe).
Thank you Daddy for being my hero and rescuing me from getting scolded or beaten up by mum while studying.
Thank you Momma for everything. What I am today is solely because of you.

2. THANK YOU Ammaji(that's how I call my grandmother)...for making that yummy fish pickle everytime I come along. If you think generation gap is a big problem these days, I tell you this lady can beat it all. I love to travel to new places and I guess this trait comes from her. She's been to so many places, learnt their language...and can prepare the yummiest of dishes from all around the world.

3. THANK YOU Alice Ma'am my dearest Grade-1 teacher. Thank you for teaching me the alphabet. Most importantly, thank you for whacking me with the scale everytime I tried to waste/throw/ feed the eagles, my lunch :). It was from her I learnt that I am privileged to be eating 3 meals a day while several others struggle for one meal.

4. THANK YOU to the guy who sold the colourful ice-lollies outside the school gate. That was the major motivation factor behind my fairly good grades in school. The more you score the more ice-lollies you get.

5. THANK YOU RAMU, the street dog, who always followed me everytime I went to the shop to get something. Though I was fearful of him then, I now realise he was actually trying to be a good body guard and we did become good friends in the end.

6. THANK YOU to all my friends who lived in the school quarters. We could play golee, lagorie, hide n seek, business, cricket, badminton for hours together.
Thanks for making my childhood filled with so much of fun and frolic.

7. THANK YOU Mr.Das for being the best piano teacher. Thank you for repeatedly teaching me the notes everytime I played a 'D major' for a 'C major' and vice-versa. You have truly played a big role in showing me the power of music.

8. THANK YOU HARI, VICKY, AND ARUNA...my best pals from college in Chennai...will never forget those memories at kutties, Marina beach, the daily train commute, the share auto drives. You guys were my family when I was away from home.

9. The new entrants in my list this time are my fiance and his parents. Thank you sweets for everything. You truly mean the world to me. And uncle and aunty you both have an amazing spirit. Have loads to learn from you both. Love you all and happy thanksgiving.

10. Last but never the least, I THANK GOD for beautifully placing me in the midst of all these great people. He has given me nothing short of the best.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOLKS!
